About Pickleball & the Art of Living

Pickleball and The Art of Living may seem like a strange mix. What does whacking a plastic ball around a court have to do with the nuances of a life well lived? Well… nothing and everything. It can be nothing if you look at the game in a vacuum. You can reduce almost any sport to the point of absurdity, whether it’s hitting a ball past someone or kicking it into a net.

But we’re humans and humans like to play. And play is very meaningful. Without play (and a playful spirit), life can lose its luster. It’s how we play, pursue and perceive our passions that make our days memorable and enjoyable.

This book is an exploration of how any passion can elevate and inform your life experience. Pickleball happens to be the metaphor for life that I have chosen. It provides competition as well as life lessons for those who see beyond the score. Learning, accomplishment, cooperation and connection are all on offer for the mindful player.

If you want to get the most out of life and your pickleball game, I invite you to explore and enjoy my book. It’s easy to read, divided into bite-sized chapters and sections that can be taken in and contemplated in small doses. And although I touch on some serious subjects, I hope my humor provides a fun read for you — living well should have more than its fair share of laughs.

Available on Kindle and in Paperback from Amazon, or purchase a personalized signed copy (limited quantities available) from my Square online store.
